the Sewergrooves - Rock 'n roll receiver

Sweden huh? What can you expect besides top notch rock ‘n roll?

The Sewergrooves have been around for some time now and released numerous 7 inches and a couple of albums. I didn’t know the band to be honest.

‘Rock ‘n roll receiver’ has a real seventies vibe to it. Everything sounds like the band knows what they’re doing…but… it sounds a bit too clean. At least that’s my opinion. The vocals, guitars aren’t heavy enough for me to get into it.

It’s like nah…just not good enough to get along with the top of the Swedish rock ‘n roll scene. ‘She’s a punk’ (just for one day), ‘Remember everything’, ‘that woman she’s a dead woman’ (great song!) are cool, but aren’t giving me that energy that I need whilst listening to this kinda music.

This band needs to get heavier! It tends to get too hippy…and I want power!

Score: 76/100
