What is TIGHT FINKS?
A band of the Rock/Punk /County Fair genre. Stylistically, they can be located among the not-so-famous end-70s low-budget combos from England: THE ADICTS, THE BOYS, THE VIBRATORS, EDDIE AND THE HOT RODS, SQUEEZE etc. Hence, they personify old-school Punkrock of the fresh and bubbly kind.
Who are the TIGHT FINKS?
They are JAMOUS T.B. (guitar and vocals), BIX (bass and vocals) and AVAREL (drums and vocals). JAMOUS and AVAREL met in 1987, in the midst of Thun's local drum- and brass-music scene; they first paired up for a rock band, but soon traded the band for RAMONES and NUMBSKULLS tapes and became the TIGHT FINKS in june 1995 together with EBENEZER (bassguitar and vocals), a pal from their school days. All three of them wrote songs and they released 3 CDs together. A lot of shows, 145 up to that moment, and happy hours in their band rehearsal room. Then in autumn 2005 the leaving of EBENEZER, he's playing in other bands and projects - therefore the quest for a new bassplayer. In december 2005 he's found: BIX!
Where are the TIGHT FINKS?
Thun, Switzerland, which, as you might know, is currently under European siege. They call the musical underground of Switzerland their home, but have occasionally landed gigs in neighbouring countries. Some highlights:

What can you expect of the TIGHT FINKS?
Euphoric and "tight" live shows to dance to or to simply hang out at with a cold beer in hand. The concerts have been said to be suitable for girls, as well. We should mention that there are three CDs/LPs with 40 TIGHT FINKS songs. They are all self-recorded and are being distributed through SUBVERSIV RECORDS. You can download several music samples from this website. Additionally, we offer some TIGHT FINKS merchandise: buttons, patches, stickers and t-shirts.
What does TIGHT FINKS mean?
That is, for once, a good question. Too bad you never asked, but we'll tell you, anyway. The name is originally a short version of "Late Night America Food & Drinks" - cross out some of these letters and the America altogether, and TIGHT FINKS is what you are left with (Thun, the TIGHT FINKS' birthplace, does actually host a restaurant by that very name, which is spelled out on an impressive neon sign). Also, FINK = telltale, blackleg; TIGHT = drunk; focused, dense with respect to music. Don't think about it too much, though. We haven't.
